So happy to hear that the surgery and results went so well!
I have no doubts with parents such as Dirk and Luna that little Ione is in for one wonderful life. Nicer people just can not be found.
This spurred me to finally placed that order with Dirk that I've been wanting for some time. No doubt my act will be better off and glad to contribute at this time. OK, back to Dirk's online catalogue....
You are in my thoughts and look forward to meeting Ione one day soon.

Dear Friends,

We went to the cardiologist today for Ione's first follow up and it seems that the procedure was a complete success! The valve is not even leaking, which is amazing, as this is usually a common side effect and trade off for this procedure. Yeah! Normal pressure has been restored to the heart and everything is functioning perfectly. There is however, a slight dilation to the Aorta which will need to be monitored regularly but may not be a concern until many years to come, if any. She will continue to have her follow ups for a while but her chances for a complete recovery is great! Thank you for being here and metaphorically holding our hands through this.

Ione had her surgery today. Doctors said her condition has been corrected. They also said the severity of her condition would have been life threatening if the surgery had been delayed. Her condition will be monitored by weekly visits to the doctor for at least the next year.

We have known Losander for over 4 years and he is a terrific father and one of the most caring individuals we know. He always goes out of his way for everyone and is a total professional at work.
